Dredging projects have added an additional 2,300 kilometers of navigational waterways to Bangladesh’s river system over the past several years. The Barnstable County, Massachusetts, dredging program recently celebrated its 25th anniversary. The county, which owns and operates three Ellicott® brand cutter suction dredges, has removed almost 2.4 million cubic yards of material during more than 300 dredging projects. Ellicott has just delivered and started up a Series 370 Dragon® dredge for a shrimp farm in Mexico’s Pacific Coast. The Ellicott 370 dredge includes a 12” x 10” pump, installed power of 416 HP and can reach a maximum dredging depth of 10 meters (33 ft).
