Imagine with me, finally getting up enough courage to leave your abuser. Then the next time you go to church your abuser is there in front of the entire church to ask forgiveness for what they put their family through. The abuser seemed so convincing to many people. Many, but not their victims....

Domestic Violence victims are often scrutinized as to what they might have done to cause the violence committed against them. The scrutiny should befall violence itself — we must speak out against those who choose to use violence as a means to an end. Picture this….The domestic violence victim has finally found the courage to leave the abuser for good. Not going back this time and ready to start over.
When the police arrived the night of that last attack and hauled the abuser to jail there was blood on the wall, bruises on the victim's body and obvious instilled fear.
Even still the victim finally has a sense of freedom and security only to find themselves slapped with a court order, divorce proceedings and threats of losing their children.

While my husband was getting ready for work one morning, he called me
into the bedroom. When he called, I ran to see what he needed. He said he
wanted to tell me something about God. “Okay?” I said. I was not sure
where this was going. He went on to say that God really didn’t love him. I
