This is a bit of a mixed update so gussy up and read on, it’ll be worth it.
Firstly, TYNEMOUTH: the lead up to December is always a bit tricky for us. this year the super busy bit started early and just like last month there isn’t any space for us at the market. Me and Sarah are working on a saturday venue to see us through til the new year at least, if you have any leads do let us know ok? there is no tynemouth session this month, if you’d like to swap slings or return them you can do it by dropping slings at Sarahs wendy house in whitley bay or at my house in Gateshead   ..read more

Uh oh!
when I rang to book our table at Tynemouth market they told me they were so overbooked already that some kind of disaster would have to happen to even make it worth having a waiting list.
So I’m afraid that means there wont be a Tynemouth session this month but FEAR NOT! You have options.
To return you can post it or drop it into Sarahs wendy house in whitley bay (the address is in your reminder emails) or post or drop it into my porch in Dunston (it’s a good idea to shoot us a message once you’ve dropped it off too)
To keep the sling you have you can pay to rehire here https://square.l ..read more

Oh NO! The unthinkable has happened and the market had sold out of tables for saturday (2nd July). Suffice to say we are gutted but that’s not the markets fault, they are generally lovely.
What this means:
I’ll try to book us in next week, please watch our socials for updates.
If you have a sling loan due back it will be extended at no charge until we are next at Tynemouth market
If you’d like to return your sling anyway it can be dropped in the Magic Wendy house at Sarahs garden in whitley bay (please contact us for address)
If you’d like to borrow a sling you have choices.
wait til the next ..read more

JO and her tiny human are road testing alll the slings. Because why not!
Today it’s Marsupi carrier, a really popular hire choice for new babies, fast, simple, supportive.
Here’s what she thinks of the Marsupi:

What I liked –
Almost everything!
Ease of use – no faffing about with buckles, adjustable bits or metres of fabric. Just slap the velcro down and you’re done.
Comfort – it’s a soft sling with minimal padding but that means it’s not bulky.
Great for carrying small babies. They don’t feel drowned in excess fabric and there’s a ..read more

Do you know of an awesome venue we can call home once a month or so?
Do you own or run an awesome venue for a monthly session?
We love places people can gather and socialise, a little space for safe sling flinging is great.
We love interesting, quirky and inclusive venues, would positively love the chance to collaborate with small community enterprises, cafes and venues, spaces already working hard to support their community.
The things that matter to us:
Collaboration and inclusivity really really matters to us.
We are open to considering anywhere in the north east, especially west ..read more

The good news is that your perfect fit is out there, the bad news is that there is no single BEST carrier out there and here’s why:
We are all different, it’s impossible for one pair of shoes, or jeans or bra or even socks to fit every one of us perfectly, it’s a bit much to expect something as personal as a sling or baby carrier to be able to achieve the impossible isn’t it?
We all have different priorities, for some people it’s comfort, for others its appearance, for others it practicality and for some others it’s longevity.
Why does the question get asked so much then?
Well there are a lot ..read more
