I Need Your Help Hi sweaty friends. It’s once again that time of year when you can help me with my hyperhidrosis advocacy efforts. How? By nominating me for the 2024 Social Health Awards. For many years now, I’ve been in the running but not selected as a winner. Help things look different this year by nominating me and then voting for me and my sweaty work. If the advocacy work I’ve done on behalf of those who suffer from hyperhidrosis has helped you or someone you know better deal with their sweaty secret, it’s time to show some support. For many years now, I’ve applied to attend Johnson & Johnson’s HealtheVoices conference, a leadership program for online health advocates. I figured I’d share my application with all of you here so you can see my passion and desire to do more for our sweaty community. I worked hard on these questions and took my time completing them in hopes of the best chance to be selected for this opportunity. 1) Why are you interested in attending HealtheVoices this ..read more

Have you ever looked in the mirror and thought, “I should be feeling better than this.” You’re not alone. I’m one of those people, too. When I heard about Gary Brecka’s genetic test, I wondered if it could actually help me. I already knew I had an MTHFR gene mutation, but what if others were lurking and causing me to feel bad in addition to the other health problems I’ve already struggled with? The 10X Health Genetic Test is the best money I’ve ever spent. My results revealed I have three other genetic mutations I didn’t know about (more about that soon). But, there is hope for learning to liv ..read more

This month, I’m talking about hyperhidrosis and intimacy. I was thrilled to be contacted by Mark Hay with VICE and be interviewed about what it’s like to navigate sex while dealing with hyperhidrosis. Were Mark’s questions PG? Hold on, because things could very well get slippery. Read my interview about hyperhidrosis and sex. For November’s Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month, help raise awareness that extreme sweating needs attention, treatment, and understanding so we can all be our best. Tell the world – excessive sweating is too much! If you’ve been following my hyperhidrosis blog for any length of time, you may have heard about my very special friend Jess who has hyperhidrosis. She lives in the UK and is now 10 years old. She – like so many of us who have uncontrollable excessive sweating – is busting her own myths about hyperhidrosis this month in honor of Hyperhidrosis Awareness Month.
