Ask questions about the official web interface here I might suggest trying a text editor with syntax highlighting rather than word. Something like Notepad++ or SublimeText. I wouldn't trust Word to not mangle a plaintext file ..read more

Discuss using conditionals, loops and variables in gcode I'll have a look later today. It's somewhere within 3.4.x, and I can't update it easily because it has been built within a device binary. I have a device running 3.5.x and yes the user position is updated to the next move / target position in the move queue ..read more

Laser Cutters

Discuss Duet on laser cutters and engravers. I found a thread about your motor on lightburn-forum. The only confusing info about a replacement motor was the required shaft diameter. Make sure, you measure your motors shaft, before you buy. NEMA23 steppers can be found with 5 ,6, 8, 10mm shaft and also 1/4 or 3/8 inch shaft. If you pick the wrong one, you'll have to look for the right pulley for your belt. All other requirements are pretty common, like 1.8 degree, 4-wire, 2.8A and 56mm motor length as you've already noted. Can't go wrong there. The Oyo motors you've linked are almost identical ..read more

Discuss Duet on CNC machines other than 3d printers and laser cutters I never felt at ease when navigating through various coordinate systems. Changing a mill bit and setting new z-zero meant pure adrenalin and full concentration for me. I had to switch through machine/workspace coordinate systems back and forth and without the conditional macros it was all done manually. Nowadays it's just a matter of writing a bulletproof macro, but I already wrecked my Y-axis because one motor got stuck while the other went on. IDK if there is a cross check method for stall detection now? (one y-motor stall ..read more

Ask questions about the hardware capabilities, compatibility, wiring etc. here. Hi, can you share your results, please? Is everything ok? I want to get Duet 3 mini 5+ as well because of the tmc2209 drivers. Duet 2 wifi is better known to the community, but it has 2660 drivers without stealthchop unfortunately. I would appreciate if you describe the steps needed to go through the upgrade ..read more
