An axe-throwing venue with the unique name of Don’t Axe is set to open outside of Houston by the end of the year, according to Community Impact.
The facility, located in Kingwood, Texas, at Kings Harbor Waterfront Village, will have eight axe-throwing lanes that can be reserved for 60- or 90-minute intervals. The business is owned by sisters Christina Robinson and Nicole White and their friend Lauren Williams.

Lasertron’s high-end axe throwing attraction now comes with automatic scoring, the company reports. “We’ve developed the most accurate axe throwing scoring system available and one that covers a much larger target area – three times bigger than all the others,” they shared.
The automatic scoring system was installed in their Buffalo, N.Y., location about three months ago and more recently added to their Rochester, N.Y., venue.

A new axe throwing venue recently opened in Mobile, Ala. According to WALA, it’s the second location for owner Jeffrey Fischer, known as “Papa Grizz,” who opened up a Grizzly Axes in Pensacola, Fla., about four years ago.
Fischer’s son Jeff will be running the Mobile location, which has 10,000 sq. ft. of space for axe throwing lanes, tabletop game areas, console gaming and more.

The Vault, which opened in Jacksonville, Ill., in early January, is an axe-throwing and virtual reality escape room that became the first business to open in the city’s new downtown Plaza.
According to the Journal-Courier, the business is the dream of entrepreneurs John and Rachel Rohn. They own the building, which has six retail spots including The Vault. The Plaza is expected to be fully humming by March 1.

German Axe Throwing Company held a grand opening ceremony on July 9 to celebrate a building extension and a new rage room, according to The Cullman Tribune.
The axe throwing venue has been there in Cullman, Alabama, since February 2021. In addition to axe throwing lanes, there will be a mechanical bull, foosball tables, a golf simulator and a stage for live music events.

An axe throwing bar will soon be located in Madisonville, Ky. According to The Messenger, owner J.P. Wilson said the plan is to open by December. He owns a gym in the city and the new axe throwing venue will be upstairs.
“I own the building where Workout Anytime is located, and upstairs I have almost 4,000 sq. ft. of unused space,” he said. “I had been trying to think of a way to use it, then one day I went to Evansville to throw axes and I realized that would work.”

Montana Axe Throwing Co. has itself a new home in the city of Butte. Its owner, Kayla Lambrecht, has been running a nearby fashion store for nine years and told KXLF that she tried axe throwing with her family and fell in love with it and decided to bring it to Butte.
“I’m really competitive, especially with my family, so when we were out throwing, I had so much fun I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to bring this sport to Butte. Butte needs this,’” Lambrecht said.

Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood will soon be home to an axe throwing venue. Detroit Axe will open its third facility there on Oct. 15. It already has two locations in nearby suburbs.
According to the Detroit Free Press, the 8,000-sq.-ft. space (also known as The Yard at Corktown) will feature 12 axe throwing lanes, along with indoor and outdoor space for other games like pinball and shuffleboard. They’ll also have more than 500 board games.

Recently-opened Northern Michigan Axe Company is the first axe-throwing venue in Petoskey, according to the News-Review. They offer eight lanes of axe-throwing fun.
Owners Shawn and Amber Hosford had been dreaming up the business for years after having gone to other axe-throwing ranges elsewhere in the state.

The former Ryan Amusements bowling alley will reopen in Falmouth, Mass., as Timber – with axe throwing being one of the primary attractions. According to The Falmouth Enterprise, there will still be bowling as well.
