“I was shopping with my teenager for a prom outfit for after her exams. We went into the changing rooms and it looked like all the cubicles were full. There was another Mum standing outside one of the cubicles while her child tried some things on and she told me that there was an empty one further along where we couldn’t see it. She and I then had a lovely chat about the highs and lows of clothes shopping for our kids while they were trying things on! She even recommended a place we could look for a prom outfit.” We hope you both found the perfect outfit and the kids have a great time! Even mo ..read more

“A kindly stranger helped us find the City Lights book store when she noticed we looked lost. After giving directions she said we must visit this café nearby. Francis Ford Coppola wrote The Godfather here! It’s so nice and the barista was so friendly. San Franciscans are so friendly!” How wonderful! Big thank you to Carolyn for allowing us to share this lovely story of kindness. Give yourself a boost with some more stories of kindness: Friends help figure out Sunday busses. Sister collects table from Marketplace seller

“I was selling my table on Facebook marketplace and the sister of the person who bought it came and picked it up because she lived closer. I thought this was super kind because it meant the desk left my house sooner, and the new owner didn’t have to rush around or rearrange things to try and get here to pick it up.” This is so true – we can easily overlook kindness by family members because of course your sister would help out, but it’s still a kind thing to do so we love to hear about kindness in families! I’ll be running the Power of Kindness wellbeing workshop on 1st May for Leadership for Personalised Care. Did you know that when people notice kindness in their working and wider life: They feel more positive and more hopeful more often. They feel more connected to colleagues. They are better able to face challenges, make decisions and find solutions. My workshops teach people the habits to make that happen and create action plans to put the habits into practice. Hopefully you can come along to the Leadership for Personalised Care conference (details here) but if you can’t then get in touch ..read more
