In After The Flood, follow Sunae's journey as she documents her own experience, and that of her community, through the recovery. In this episode, Sunae shares the many layers and complexities to what happens when the water recedes. The physical exhaustion from the sorting and cleaning. And the emotional labour involved in accessing support from various agencies. Plus the disappointment of finding ourselves in the same place we were a month ago... with flood level rising. When there's nothing less to lose, all that remains is the human spirit. How much more can that take?

Sunae continues her story emotional story and shares what happened once they've left the bridge for the evacuation centre. She documents what it was like as a trained medical professional to have the knowledge and the experience to help, but no resources to enable proper care. And she takes us to the moment, when 8 days after the event, she is finally able to access her home and access the damage.
