Optibike’s new “RIOT” is the best E-MTB choice for riders over 50 and heavier riders. The bike features industry leading 190 newton meters of torque and 750 watts continuous power. This allows riders to climb much steeper hills. It is powered by a 1630 watt-hour battery, which give it almost 3X the range of other E-MTB.
Losing Strength and Power As We Age
As we age, three main metabolic changes occur. We lose muscle mass, gain weight, and our maximum oxygen uptake decreases (VO2 Max). This all translates into less ability to climb hills and travel longer distances. A rider of 60 years old may ..read more

We took an Optibike R22 Everest, Optibike Type 1, and Bosch CX equipped E-Bike to a steep dirt hill climb.
The hill is a 46% grade and has a soft loose dirt surface, certainly not an easy climb to do!

“The Optibike R22 Everest is as impressive as its name implies. This bike is the Lucid Air of e-bikes. If it were a car, it would definitely be on the list of EVs with the longest range. The R22 Everest is built in Colorado, so it meets the criteria of this list. This e-bike can travel approximately 300 miles on a single charge (estimated while using a 160 lb driver traveling at 15 mph with pedal assist), thanks to its humongous 3,260Wh battery ..read more

I’m Jim Turner, president and founder of Optibike.

The bikes i rode were hand built by Suzuki in Japan one at a time, everything on the bikes was custom made, they cost a fortune to build but those bikes were perfect, and they just gave that extra amount of performance that you only ..read more
