Before you get too deep into planning and realize you’re in over your head in invoices, plan out your budget and what you expect to spend on each vendor that will be a part of making your wedding day come alive.
Consider what your necessities are. What are some things that you absolutely do not want to go without on your wedding day? Is there a specific vendor you have in mind? A couple things you know you absolutely do not want to miss at your wedding? What are they? What can you expect to spend? What are the average prices in the area for the level of quality that you are looking for? Your ..read more

One of the most common questions I get from our thatBliss couples is if we offer customizable packages. The thing is, if it’s your wedding and no one else’s then why shouldn’t there be a customizable element available? Top complaints I hear from couples is that they are forced into choosing from one boxed in package or another. That’s why I love when I come across vendors that I can recommend to my couples that have the same flexibility and personalized factor available.
Wedding invitations and stationary should be fully customizable down to the each color element, font, paper quality ..read more

I’m not too sure if this blog should be titled “2020 recap” or “2020 shit show” to be completely honest with you. I think most of us like to just pretend like pretty much all of 2020 didn’t exist and probably most of 2021, too. However, we have SOOOO much to be thankful for in 2020 and all that definitely deserves some recognition.
2020 was a year for our business that was scary but also brought so many amazing opportunities and tons of crazy business advances. While thatBliss was not born in 2020, it definitely grew exponentially during such unprecedented times. I was only simply working a fe ..read more

Boho- rust, terracotta, creams, burnt orange
The one where they had to gut an entire restaurant and re-furnish it plus have an entire wedding all in one day. Yup you read that right. We had to completely redo the reception space and it was not at all a tad bit stressful… BUT we did it and you guys… it was stunning!

Ceremony- Spring Pastels
Reception- Christmas Reds, Greens, and Whites
The one where we were featured on Netflix… YES. Netflix. It is easy to say that this wedding and this couple were a highlight of my career for so many reasons. In only 6 weeks we managed to pull off a mid-COVID wedding with live Christmas trees in the beginning of November and a design/cake to remember. Thuy and Octavio will always have a place in my wedding planner heart.

Ivory, Gold, Sage, and Blush
Weddings are finally getting back to normal! Vanessa and Shawn’s wedding was one of our first post-COVID larger events and it was so nice getting back into the swing of things. Their guest count was finally out of the mini wedding realm and this wedding felt like a full blown wedding. Life was getting back to normal (or so we hoped) and we were able to plan this baby like nothing had ever happened… well to an extent but a girl can dream.

Deep maroons + greens balances with ivory, sage, olive, and rust
Katrina and TJ were a dream from the beginning of their planning process. As full planning clients, I absolutely loved the fact that TJ was so involved and truly wanted to be present in their wedding planning process. He literally even made his own Pinterest board! Did we use some of his pinned ideas for their wedding? We sure as hell did! Anytime we get a groom who truly cares about the planning process and has an even more unconditional love/care for his future bride, we take full advantage!

Color Palette: Black and Deep Reds
I cannot believe it has already been a month since our wedding. It’s so true when I have clients tell me that being married really feels no different. Maybe that is a healthy response, because being married should just feel right. Nothing should really change other than the fact that you now write taxes together and one (or both) spouses have to get used to their name being different from how it’s been their entire lives. I had so many expectations leading up to the wedding about how it would go and how I would feel and for the most part I was spot on, then a ..read more
