Clement of Rome First Epistle ch (44 27-97 ad) Our apostles also knew, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and there would be strife on account of the office of the episcopate. For this reason, therefore, inasmuch as they had obtained a pe ..read more

Why Be Catholic
Practical Apologetics
by Brian

Of all the things you could be, why be Catholic? GK Chesterton said “the difficulty of explaining why I am Catholic is that there are ten thousand reasons all amounting to one reason: that Catholicism is true.” I’m not going to be giving reasons that God exists like the fine tuning argument, Aquinas’ 5 ways, CS Lewis’ trilema, ndes, or the other arguments. You can ask about that later if you want to. This is mainly going to be a comparison between Catholic Christianity and Non Catholic Christianity. If I call non Catholic Christians protestants it is by habit. Technically they are not all pr ..read more

August 5 Community EMP Preparedness Meeting
Practical Apologetics
by Brian

You can listen to the audio of this meeting here. Meeting notes: Benjamin franklin said failing to prepare is preparing to fail and that is what we are doing tonight. No one in the country is doing what we are doing tonight. Having listened to a lot of preparedness information the most they ever mentioned was store food and know your neighbors because you will need each other. I have never heard of a group of people getting together to talk about how to feed entire towns apart from Joseph in the Old testament who saw hard times ahead and he prepared and not only did he save Egypt but t ..read more

EMP Surge Protection Device for Vehicles
Practical Apologetics

Why did I make the Surge Protection Device? I became aware of the threat in 2007 and started thinking about it in 2013. I took some measures back then but the world situation did not dictate an immediate threat. Now the world situation is serious. To quote Senator Ron Johnson in reference to an Electro Magnetic Pulse EMP or Geomagnetic disturbance GMD "There is 100% certainty that this will happen some time in our future." When Russia invaded Ukraine I scrambled to make something to put on our many tractors that would be affordable. Compare my $60 device with EMP Shield's $400 device ..read more

The Case for Self-defense

Exodus 20 The command is given thou shall not kill and then moves on without any context of who or what you shall not kill. The pacifists point out that it is to not kill people period. Without any extra input to this verse to the sola scripturaist the conclusion should really include animals and plants too. Is that really what the intention of the command was? No, but it makes you think. If you need the entire scripture to show it isn’t talking about plants and animals, then maybe you need the same criteria to see if it is talking about people period or if certain circumstances are re ..read more

Communion on the Tongue is an Apostolic Tradition debunked once and for all.
Practical Apologetics

If you search these terms the same list of “historical” references come up. This same list is shared all over social media and it's praises are sung that their “traditional” practice has historical backing. However it is blatantly false and you do not spend over 3000 hours in the Early Church Fathers like I have and let these people get away spreading lies. I will go through each quote (in bold) demonstrating this. St. Sixtus 1 (circa 115): “The Sacred Vessels are not to be handled by others than those consecrated to the Lord.” Yes pope Sixtus said this but it also is not talking about commu ..read more

Rebuttal to weak Halloween Arguments
Practical Apologetics
by Brian
1y ago
This Halloween thing is getting out of control. Lines are drawn down the middle and it appears to me that people in favor of Halloween deep down do not want to give it up that they are using weak arguments. Some such arguments appear to scare you by saying the Devil hates Halloween. The following are such. The devil hates Halloween because it is the one time of year they are talking to their neighbors. The devil hates Halloween because kids are laughing. The devil hates Halloween because it allows kids to stay out late which the devil tricked their parents to be over protective and keep them ..read more
