CLEMSON — Clemson Baseball released an update on its postponed game from March 1 against rival South Carolina. According to a social media post from Clemson Baseball’s official account, a mutual date was unattainable based on remaining competition and academic schedules. Fans who purchased tickets to the game can email gctix@mailbox.sc.edu for more information. The Tigers won the March 2 neural site game in Columbia and the March 3 home game in Clemson, both by 5-4 scores, to win the series. South Carolina got some bad news Monday when a top player announced he is entering the transfer portal. South Carolina will have a different leading scorer in the 2024-45 basketball season. All-SEC guard Meechie Johnson has entered the transfer portal per multiple reports. He spent two seasons with the Gamecocks and led the team to a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament this year. Johnson averaged 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists. The South Carolina football program got some bad news Tuesday. The Gamecocks are losing this highly regarded talent to the NCAA transfer portal. Grayson “Pup” Howard is headed out of Columbia after one season, as the freshman linebacker announced via social media that he is entering the portal. South Carolina is losing one of their top players to the transfer portal according to a report Thursday morning. According to a report from 247 Sports Antwane Wells will enter the transfer portal.
