ARMY commanders denied kidnapping a labor union leader as alleged by the Kilusang Mayo Uno-Southern Mindanao Region following a clash between soldiers and communist guerillas in Purok 8, Barangay Butong, Quezon in Bukidnon on April 10.

THE CITY Health Office (CHO) urged barangays in Davao City to form a Mosquito-Borne Viral Disease Task Force to address the rising number of dengue cases.
During the iSpeak media forum on April 18, Melodina Babante, head of the CHO-Tropical Division, said they already recorded 1,140 confirmed cases with eight mortalities in the city from January to the first week of April this year.

THE PHILIPPINE Coast Guard (PCG) rescued two fishermen on Thursday, April 18, after their motor banca, Mbca D-Krisvyn, caught fire off the coast of Barangay Salabayon, Jose Abad Santos.
Philippine Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao chief of staff Lt Commander Angel Tobias said a concerned citizen alerted their Jose Abad Santos substation regarding the fire at 9 a.m.
The Coast Guard immediately launched a search and rescue operation using Aluminum Boat 233.

For instance, Major Antonio Luy takes the helm of the Buhangin Police Station, replacing Major Joenel Pederio.

Another arrest warrant has been issued by a Pasig City Court for the arrest of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy for a non-bailable crime. And the local law enforcement units are again committing to high heavens to serve the warrant on the fugitive religious leader.
