The Blues Foundation made the difficult but wise decision to postpone the IBC in Memphis until a later date (tbd) Of course we are disappointed, but happy to be safe. With this added financial uncertainty, we appreciate your continued support. We had hoped with entering the Memphis Challenge that through performances, networking and meeting industry people, would help take us to the next level. Without that, we are in a holding pattern until the pandemic slows down. Not everything is postponed though. With your continued support, we can write, and work towards a new recording, create videos ..read more

Greetings from Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin,
I am happy to share news about how my new album I'm All Burn is doing. I spent the last few weeks shipping hundreds of copies to DJ's around the world. It's like planting seeds, you never know how things will grow. I am honored to have been getting quite a bit of internet airplay. DJ Amigo in Australia says "I'm All Burn," is one of albums of the year! It's #18 on the UK Blues Broadcaster's charts too. And here in the US DJ's are adding it to their playlists where it's reached into the top 50 on RMR charts.
On November 19th I was on a WNIJ Dekalb, IL sho ..read more

Recently I was asked to chat about my years busking in the New York City subway system as a member of the program Music Under New York, now called MTA Music. During those years I was known as NYCSubwayGirl. That conversation prompted me to dig up a compilation video that I made of a year following and videoing myself and other buskers. The experiences that were captured due to the low quality in the recording, is what I call a Lo-fi - Hi-human content. I hope you enjoy it:
Performing in public spaces as a busker is an amazing experience. I blogged about it for many years and filmed myself and ..read more

Here's to Good Trouble in Memphis May 6-9th
International Blues Challenge time slots TBD
The Blues Foundation likes to keep things suspenseful, so we won't know what club on Beale Street, or at what time we will be playing until the day the Challenge begins May 6th. We will have guaranteed performances on Friday and Saturday night. We find out Saturday night if we advance to the semi-finals. Also on Saturday, we will be performing in the Women In Blues Showcase (see the poster above) from 12:20pm-12:30pm. With so many performing, each act only gets 10 minutes to show what makes us unique. I as ..read more

The Blues Foundation has thankfully rescheduled the International Blues Challenge in Memphis for May 6-9th. And we couldn't be happier. Entering the Memphis Challenge is a huge honor. With our performances, networking and meeting industry people, we hope to gain more career traction.
The pandemic still needs to slow down though, and we are mindful that all could change again.

I am so happy to announce that my new album I’m All Burn with the Troublemakers is on it’s way to being printed! It has been a lovely road of production, with a 4 month pause due to COVID-19 shut down. The amazing designer is Rae Senarighi. Here’s a tease of the design of the CD label. Knowing that many of you do not even have a CD player, I will be making the tracks available on a digital download card. Honestly my income comes from live performances, so releasing an album without also having live gigs is a risk. Yet this album needs to get out from my head and into the world!

We're excited to share
Representing Wisconsin and Paramount Music Association at the International Blues Challenge on Beale Street.
Here's to Good Trouble.....But we need your support!
Taking a 6-piece band to the International Blues Challenge comes with a hefty price, but we are making smart decisions to limit our expense level. Our budget includes renting a van and driving ourselves, sharing hotel rooms and with basic food/travel expenses it will still cost us close to $8000 for the week. Good news is that we are already halfway there, thanks to support from many of our fans, family and fri ..read more

17 days since March 16th dancing to my unfinished album one track at a time.
I have been dancing in my living room to my unfinished album every day since March 16th. The album is a project that I have been working on since September. I had hoped to have it released this March. Sadly with all the closures due to COVID-19, the project is on hold in the studio in Milwaukee awaiting the chance to finalize it by mixing and mastering so I can send it to the manufacturer, and have the final digital copy available to download.
I decided a fun way to share my record without worrying about a rough mix g ..read more
