September 25th 2023
Paramount Theater, Huntington NY

With the crowd packed into the Paramount on a rainy Monday night,it was buzzing with energy waiting for HIM frontman Ville Valo to take the stage. When the lights went dark the stage was lit with a VV from the Heartagram logo and the band took the stage. Ville came sauntering on stage like a goth David Bowie and serenaded the crowd from the foot of the stage. Mixing solo material and the HIM songs the crowd knows and loves Ville and his band had the crowd whipped into a frenzy. Everyone needs to ch ..read more

YUNGBLUN – Lowlife
July 14th 2023
by Mia Richards
British alternative singer YUNGBLUD’s newest release “Lowlife” is a brutally accurate depiction of isolating yourself in some state of depression. In collaboration with producer Paul Meany, “Lowlife” was created with no ideas or references in mind. YUNGBLUD claims that the two would “start with a blank canvas each time, bring up a beat and see what the f**k happens.”

Desert Mambas… But It’s A Dry Heat Album Review
June 29th 2023
by Mia Richards
Desert Mambas makes their debut EP …But It’s a Dry Heat with soothing yet exhilarating vocals by lead singer-guitarist Bailey Moses.
“In the Middle” depicts the experience of young queer and transgender lives, and the complications and depth of gender making one feel as if they are “stuck in the middle.” The lively complications of feeling stuck in the distract from the idea of this anxious and hard feeling of being in the middle of two genders. “I don’t think that I can be your girl anymore/I don’t think that I ca ..read more

by Mia Richards
Portland-based duo Covair brings indie-pop/rock to the next level with their second album, Bound to Be. Talented members Brian Naubert and Heather Larimer have both worked on musical endeavors separately, but Coviar brings the two together, all with precise instrumentals and melodies. The husband-wife pair creates clear and concise images throughout the way that their lyrics paint a clear picture with Bound to Be. The duo is extremely dynamic in their vocals, and the pairing of their two drastically different voices and sounds do them immense amounts of ju ..read more
