I'll be plowing this winter with a 60" front blade on my SCUT....but just poured a new concrete driveway/apron and don't want to tear it up with the metal.
Anyone have a source for rubber or other substance for the blade edge?
Or any other recommendations?
Or do you think the steel is OK on the concrete? Won't chip it? My apron is huge, and not all flat, it's sloped towards the downhill driveway for water ..read more

The wear ring is all beat up on my snowblower chute...I'm not even sure what it is officially called and I haven't been able to find it online yet...it looked like 1/4 inch thick poly c-channel? I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction..lol..at least snowblowing season is over now where I live so I have a bit of time to fix this up. Thanks ..read more

I just wanted to say my Yanmar SB60R snowblower, attached to my Yanmar 425 performed like a champ this winter. I live in Montana and we had a light winter compaired to most years but when it snowed. it was in feet and usually multiple. The blizzard of January 17, 2024 I plowed 4 1/2 miles, 3 times to keep the road open for my wife's birthday party. The SB60R handled everything. It throws snow about 30 feet off the road so we don't get the narrowing we have had in the past with my old JD...

Hey guys. I want to put a plow on my Gator CX. This little gator makes up my 1000' driveway in 8" snow with no problems. I am thinking if I can make the first pass down and then take smaller bites on the up drive I will be ok.
My dealer (very small) said he has never put a plow on one. I have seen them on YouTube, but none of the videos detail the plow they used. I will be putting a winch on shortly to handle raising and lowering. I am just not sure about the mounting etc. My welder...

After a sucky summer dominated by tourons, smoke and high temperatures in Montana, I for one is looking forward to snow season again. And I love snowplowing frankly or any time I get to spend in the tractor. I put on a hydraulic cylinder for the deflector this season on my MK Martin Pull type snowblower. Look forward to try it out ..read more

Pushing snow with the bucket of my 790. I bought my 2000 790 from my ailing friend. Have known this meticuliously maintained machine since he bought it. Have heard that pushing snow with a plow attached to the loader arms will blow out bushings due to angling the plow ..read more

Tractor: LS MT235HE
Blower: Land Pride SB1574 three point snow blower
Shear pins: Two; a grade five 1/4x1" on the auger shaft, and a Grade two 5/16's x 2" on the PTO shaft
Had an odd situation a couple weeks back. Temp was about zero F give or take a degree or two. I was blowing some snow and snagged something that caused the PTO shear pin to snap. I replaced it and then thought I should also check the auger shear pin. Here is the odd part...
The shear pin had broken and the shear...

I would be forever grateful if someone can solve this problem I have.
I have an older Erskine Rear PTO snowblower. I refurbished and painted it to kinda match my 4115 John Deere.
Problem is I can snowblower all afternoon no problem. If I turn off the PTO for 2 - 3 minutes then back on , starts up great.when I stop the blower for 5 minutes or so while cleaning up with the bucket. When I turn the blower back on , SNAP , there goes another driveshaft shear cut bolt. The unit is garaged at...

Have only plowed with SRW pickups, tractors and large commercial dump trucks.
Have heard small duallies tend to slide or spin out and go sideways.
Chains are not an option here. Just want to know if anyone plows with a DRW pickup with standard all season or snow tires and what its’ been like ..read more
