Prof Gertjan Medema has been awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize (LKYWP) 2024 for his contributions in wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE). A new mobile treatment system from water technology company Xylem is enabling utilities to comply with the new regulation from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which has established legally enforceable limits for certain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in drinking water.
