I bought a Sears 200mm f/3.5 lens for $32. it is screw mount, so used an M42 to MFT adaptor that I had bought years ago but never used. What is surprising to me is how small the moon is in the fame even at 200mm. Annoying to me is I could not figure out how to make the moon show up normally on the screen so I could focus. It showed as a big white disk even though the actual exposure was fine. Setting the lens right at infinity was soft, so I guessed a couple times to get a focused image (I'm...

I thought I try my old Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 1:3.5-4.5 on my OMD E-M1 using the adapter. Sadly, when I got the old lens out I found there's mould on one of the elements. It's not worth having it done, and I'm pretty handy, does anyone know of a manual or video on dissasembly? There is a little bit on Youtube, but it's not this lens.
Many thanks for any assistance.

If you are into Russian M39 lenses, I’m sure you’ve looked at the Industar-69 and thought “Wow – that would be the perfect street lens! 56mm equivalent, f2.8, super-compact pancake format, FSU street cred – I’ve got to get me one of those!” Then you’ve done a little research and found that, although the lens uses the M39 mount, it wasn’t designed for FED/Zorki rangefinder cameras, so the register distance is off and you can’t get infinity focus. Then you’ve done a little more research and...

Received notice of a new lens from Lens Baby. Their Sweet 22. When I went to check the price and availablity for the micro 4/3 could not find it. I sent an email and was told that Lens Baby was no longer supporting the Micro 4/3. What a shame.

Hi,
I just received one of the EF-M1, and it seems to kind of work with my E-PL5 and Canon 55-250mm lens, but I "feel" like it is focusing just a smidge soft.
Has anyone gotten one of these? I read somewhere that there's a sequence for resetting or calibrating it, but I can't find that reference.
Also, the EF-M1 has a small lever on the edge (not the one to remove the lens) but I can't figure out what that does?
Thanks,

I have just switched from Sony system and bring with me a couple of legacy lenses I want to use on my EM5. I have an adapter but when I attach the legacy lens the screen is black. On a Sony there is a setting “Release without Lens”. I cannot find anything similar on the Olympus menu. Is there one or what should I look out for? Many thanks ..read more
