Hello, I just bought a canon DSLR camera and I want to take pictures of wildlife as a hobby, but I have no idea where to start. So, here I am on reddit hoping the internet will help with this conundrum I'm facing. If you all could help make a list for animals and zoomed in plant life/ insect life. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

I found these old vivitar and Olympus lenses and I wanna try to hook them up to my black magic 6k. I'm having trouble pin pointing exactly what adapter I should get. So I'm asking to see if anyone can help me figure out what mounts these lenses have. Thanks!
Ps. I know they're a little dirty. Sorry about that.

Hi Everyone!
I recently bought a Nikon Coolpix800 off of an eBay seller. In their photos the camera lens was totally fine however it seems in shipping it got thrown around a little and the lens is crooked.
The lens is like crooked and sometimes I can see through it and other times I can’t. It is like not connected to the little grooves I can see on the side, and it moves/shakes around.
I was wondering if there is any way I can fix this as I was really looking forward to getting into fun digital cameras and this was supposed to be the one I would use for a while lol.

I was looking into buying an EF 17-40 and adapting it to a LUMIX camera. I only have a manual adapter, so I couldn’t use the autofocus, but a I know some cameras need power to manual focus. Would this lens be ok on a non-powered adapter?

Considering a new lens for my Nikon D3100. Specifically looking at the "Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 C DG OS Nikon". I'm trying to figure out if the autofocus will work with my camera model. I already have a vivitar 500mm lens but its so difficult to focus manually/get very clear shots so I'd rather have something that is autofocus. I know autofocus and such varies on older camera models so I'm looking for second opinions to make sure it will work.
Totally open to other lens suggestions, however I don't have a super high budget. I'm willing to spend the bit over a thousand for the sigma lens I ..read more

A noob question how do I convert that 0.36X lens to get how much ° it has? I am trying to get the lens for my streaming cam on mobile and the one I have is marked as "super wide lens 0.36X". I am not able to find out the ° of it, since other lenses are using the ° as units.

Does anyone know of a quick easy and cheap way to fix the scratches on my fisheye lens or at least make them less prominent in video footage. I recently found my old camera with the fisheye and have been having fun with it lately filming skateboarding but was hoping I could find a quick fix before I have to spend $40 on a new front element. Anyone have any ideas?
