First time this happened to me since getting the deus 2: The detector underwater could barely pick up my large scoop and when it did, the signals were really raspy and barely registering (dive mode). The coil had a hard time staying connected and would frequently disconnect from the remote. I spent an hour going back and forth (from the water) trying to fiddle with the remote/coil/antenna cable. I’d like to preface this by saying I switched from the nox 800 to the Deus2 about 2 months ago. I had hit this site hard with the nox, but time and time again this Deus has found what the nox didn’t. I love this machine Decided to do a quick New Year’s Day morning hunt and pulled a Nova! Never did I expect to find one of these. Rang up a 91 on the deus2 but when I pulled the plug, I knew it was too thin to be a large cent, so I thought it was a flat button. OK, so my deus II coil was broken, so I send it to my dealer for warranty. After some time ( all together over a month) I received coil. From invoices, I can see, that dealer sends it to services, services send coil to dealer, dealer to me. ​ Problem is this is not the one which I send, I received replacement. The replaced one does not look brand new, but used. At this point I am about 20 hours in on the 11 x 13 coil. Here are some first impressions: Pros: Coverage is enormous compared to the 9" coil. It doesn't detect just under the coil, there seems to be a significant halo around it as well. It gets my shovel every swing unless I drag it behind me. I found two silvers that rang from outside the area covered by the coil (and, to be fair, many beer cans) Whatever problems existed with drooping appear to have been addressed, or are yet to appear. Have any of you had a problem with Bone Conduction Waterproof Headphones? After selecting them, when starting the detector, I hear a greeting sound, then silence. I can see that I got metal under coil, but no sound. I don't know if it's a problem with the detector or the headphones.
