Earlier this month, my sisters and I took a five-day trip to Cap Cana, Dominican Republic. It was such an amazing vacation — and I felt like I really came back refreshed and recharged, a rarity for me after traveling! This trip came about over Labor Day Weekend when my family was floating the Shenandoah River in Harpers Ferry. Last March, I went to Hawaii and realized it was the perfect time to get out of town — it’s a few months after the holidays, so you’re craving a break from work, and it’s nice to have a warm weather destination on the calendar to look forward to during the cold wint ..read more

A few weekends ago my sisters and I were at The Greenbrier, which is one my all-time favorite places. Known as ‘America’s Resort,’ it’s nestled in the small town of White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, right over the state line from Virginia. The Greenbrier has a dress code — though I would say it is loosely enforced — but I love any excuse to get dressed up!  After we checked in, and enjoyed our complimentary glasses of champagne, we freshen up in our super cute room and then decided to take a walk around the resort before dinner. My one piece of advice is to size up because they are really sh ..read more

Other than a quick trip, one-night trip to NYC last month, I’ve been at home in Arlington and absolutely loving it. I’ve been able to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in a while, say yes to spontaneous plans, and finally feel like I’m all caught up on the life admin that being an adult requires—my returns are done, my house is clean, and I’m on top of my personal email inbox. One of the silver linings of the pandemic, for me, was realizing just how much I do like to be at home, in my routine. I still have a huge passion for travel, but next year, I’d love to space out my travel more—that w ..read more

The Perfect Dress for a Destination Wedding

Last week, I spent four days and three nights down in Puerto Rico—and it was such a beautiful and fun vacation. Two of my former coworkers were getting married and so me and about 15 of our other former coworkers were in town for the wedding. Everyone stayed at the same resort, so it felt like an adult summer camp in the best way. We all spent the days at the pool, taking full advantage of the swim up bar, and the nights by the lobby bar, where the resort had the best live music going. Unlike some trips where your go, go, go from one activity to the next, this was a true vacation—we only left ..read more
