Emotive is a B.C. wide outreach and awareness campaign that encourages the accelerated adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) in B.C. Emotive acts as a collaborative campaign with many implementation partners interested in EV education and outreach in communities across the province. Emotive is a platinum sponsor of the 2024 Mile Zero Cruisers‘ Summer Cruise in Dawson Creek, and will host the Electric Avenue part of the show. This section of the show will feature electric vehicle owners from BC and Alberta with their cars on display, plus EVs for test drives provided by OEMs/dealerships. The show n’ shine takes place on July 14, 2024 in downtown Dawson Creek. This is the largest car show in Northern B.C. with 400+ custom cars on display and 10,000+ people in attendance. Emotive will be leading EV test drives at Elevate: Vancouver’s Automotive Experience. We would love for you to be a part of the show by helping to facilitate EV test-drives and by sharing your knowledge as EV drivers. The Elevate show will run from March 20-24, 2024, and is Emotive’s largest event of the year. Volunteers will get free access to the show. British Columbia’s Go Electric EV Charger Rebate Program for homes, workplaces and multi-unit residential buildings has been recharged with $7 million in provincial funding to fully reopen the program. EV charger rebate applications for single-family homes and workplaces will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023. By Plug In BC Staff Michael Stanyer Program Lead, Communications. In August of 2022, I needed a vehicle for a couple of work trips between Courtenay and Victoria. I used an electric Hyundai Kona from the Modo Co-operative. It made for a cost-effective, fun, and hassle-free EV commute. Modo does not have vehicles based in Courtenay, where I live, but fortunately I was able to pick up the vehicle in Victoria while on a trip for other business.
