Article on reincarnation as an ancient Celtic and Irish belief... Did the ancient Irish believe in reincarnation? Reincarnation is a Latin word, meaning "entering the flesh again." As far back as the 1st century BCE, Alexander Cornelius Polyhistor wrote that the Gauls teach “that the souls of men are immortal, and that after a fixed number of years, they will enter into another body.” Julius... People don't respect us anymore

I noticed that today most people don't respect witches, druids, shamans and all others who uses magick. It's quite sad when you help someone you don't get any thanks. Me and a friend helped a man who had back problems. He wanted too try something "spiritual" and got good results. Afterwards he took too name calling, slander etc. As he was ungrateful we took back the good we had done and left him with his old back problems again. Why would you make yourself an enemy of someone who did you a... People don't respect us anymore ..read more

And please add your own comments to this thread, if you wish. But you know Jesus would have nothing against Wiccans and practitioners of Magick. The word magic comes from the three Magi. And they were welcomed at Jesus' birth. And they gave him valuable gifts that later went towards rabbinical education. Think about it ..read more

I mentioned this book before, The Witch's Guide to Wands by Gypsey Elaine Teague. The overall element assigned to wands is Air, Air being projective, sending energy outward, like the Athame, which is Fire. Because wands are from an organic source, each has its own element assigned to it as well. Wands should always be collected from a fallen branch, never cut. Pay attention to the direction where it fell. Wands don't have to be pretty after sanding. Reflect on the symbols you want to... Wands ..read more

Crystals and rainbows

One of my specialties as a Witch is crystal work. Crystals can work in conjunction with herbalism, and identification of elements related to crystals is important. One good book is Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Crystal, Gem and Metal Magic by Scott Cunningham. Crystal Medicine by Marguerite Elsbeth. All the books by Katrina Raphaell. It took a while to understand the significance of rainbows in crystals. I had crystals that had no rainbows at all. As I worked with many I noticed more... Crystals and rainbows ..read more

Samhain, October 31st, is a Gaelic festival marking the end of the harvest season with Winter entering, eclipsing light. Also, what is interesting, is on that day the veils between the worlds are the thinnest. That reminds me what Fred Alan Wolf, in his book The Eagle's Quest regarding uranium deposits near where the Lakota, the Hopi and other tribes live, and where Shamans live as well. He states that the uranium deposit create a crack in the veils separating worlds ..read more

I'm a Witch of 30+ years experience and I see many posts regarding how to start, where to start, where to begin. It can be very frustrating. I started the traditional way forged my Athame and made an ebony handle for it, basically from the ground up. I can share some resources to get started. But first you need an ephemeris regarding planetary aspects and especially a moon calendar-very important. Waxing moon power coming in Waning moon power going out, reducing power. All of Stewart... How Did Wicca/witches Become Associated With Devil Worship?

I've heard that some people still have the misconception that Wiccans worship the devil. Does anyone know how this belief originated? Someone told me once that it's because at some point in history Christians accused Witches of being servants of the devil in order to delegitimize Wicca and other pagan religions. Does anyone know if this is true or not ..read more
