I was wondering what the NRL followers here thought re: the thinner ground - did it make for a better game to watch or detract from it - or was it much of a muchness? For me, not a big viewer of NRL apart from when Storm arte playing (as long as no Pies or Suns game on) I found the Las Vegas game much more enjoyable - the game seemed to be always "on" and fast paced - although am aware in both AFL and NRL you get some great games and not so great games so was wondering did the thinner ground contribute to a more fast paced and exciting game? I'll admit ... this did concern me going in , each ..read more

The only expanding they are doing is putting new teams in their own backyards, lol. Umm Skip 'ol son, the NRL has a team in New Zealand. The Australian Govt is going to fund another one out of PNG representing the whole Pacific region. That's kinda outta their own backyard pal. You know, like other countries. Meanwhile the Australian fumbling League 'expands' to tiny Tassy lolololololololol!!!!! You might have to re-define 'own backyard' skip! You appear to be a dill pal. Time to hop off back to the bush. Away ya go!!!!! Statistics: Posted by Terry — Sat Feb 03, 2024 11:14 pm ..read more

The opening football match in the morning is expected to be an entire fireworks show. There will be fireworks. Good to hear. Needs to fix up the bye issue with uneven teams - but I think the NRL desperately needs to get into Perth - just need the cash to support it in the infancy. I would see Perth being similar to the Suns or Strom re: support there - a small to medium loyal base. I think they can't afford not to go to Perth to be honest. Well said Fred. One of ya best pal, try to keep it up! Perth should be a no brainer to make the game truly national. (Little Adelaide don't matter. They'll never have a team). There is a groundswell of support in the west with many Poms, South Africans and expatri ..read more

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has told @MCarayannis that expansion is on the horizon. Abdo declared that "By the end of 2024 we will know what it looks like for an 18th franchise and potentially beyond that. And going from 10 to 12 franchises in the women’s competition." Statistics: Posted by leeroy*NRL* — Tue Jan 09, 2024 1:35 am ..read more
