Distributed Emergency plugin

I have an observatory with 2 piers, each running Voyager. I have just purchased the Distributed Emergency plugin and will run a 3rd computer to control the observatory roof and cloud watcher. Am I correct in assuming that the dragscripts on each of the piers can have their own start times and when they are ready to open the roof, then that command is sent to the 3rd computer to open the roof? 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic ..read more

LBN627: An elusive target

Hi to all, I realize I never posted images here to testify of how Voyager simplifies my astrophotographer life. This is an image of this quite elusive LBN627 in Camelopardalis taken from my backyard during one of the many unattended full night session under Voyager supervision. As usual Voyager performed flawlessy all night long and I found my scope nicely parked the next morning with nicely captured frames and sky flats. Although some clouds came in during the night, the recovery mechanism worked perfectly. Thank you Leo for your hard work. Clear skies Antoine 1 post - 1 participant Read ful ..read more

Four new images from Namibia

Hello group! After the preparation and realisation of the CEDIC took up a lot of time, I now have more time to work through and show the huge amount of raw data from Namibia. Let’s start with NGC 300, a classic in the southern sky with a beautiful spiral structure and many HII regions. NGC 300 is much smaller than the Milky Way with a diameter of about 45 000 light years. NGC 300 with 10" Lacerta Newtonian, QHY268m, Ha-LRGB: NGC 1549 and 1533 form a beautiful interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Dorado. NGC 1546 at bottom right has a very similar radial velocity of approx. 1250 k ..read more

Passing user input from Web Dashboard

Hi there, I’m using a MeLE on my mount while connecting through a cat5 cable from a distance. I’d like to run a dragscript on the MeLE to do most of the work during the night, including calling a batch file. In the Web Dashboard I can run the dragscript, but I also need to pass a couple of variables to tell the dragscript how many loops to do, etc… If I simply pop open a user input dialogue, the dialogue opens on the MeLE, which doesn’t have a screen or keyboard, so that doesn’t help. It doesn’t do anything on the laptop - all the Web Dashboard tells me is that it’s waiting for input. Does any ..read more

Voyager Advanced SkyAlert Unsafe String

Hello Leo, I have been enjoying using Voyager 2 Adv. to run my observatory for about a year now and due to a recent close call with weather, I decieded to add the SkyAlert module to my setup. I have configured Voyager to read the Boltwood 1 line txt file it generates, but I am not sure how to set the unsafe string since it is binary and only at the end of the Boltwood weather string. I am not seeing a way to read the string with Voyager that will only look at the last value. Is there a way to configure the string in this manner? I currently only see exact match, contains, begins with as the op ..read more
