Screw-on filter pitch size for vintage Voigtländer Ultron lens

Hi folks, I have read many threads on this site regarding the thread size of screw-on filters for the vintage Voigtländer Ultron lens (here my camera https://matteo-marini.blogspot.com/2024/04/voigtlander-prominent.html). I would like to get a step-up ring for ND filters in order to shoot at big apertures in daylight. I know that the thread is 45 mm but I have not found any mention to the pitch size: I suspect it is a 0.5 but, considering the scarcity of these rings, I would like avoiding a bad purchase. Any help ..read more

<p>Another <strong>"Look inside":</strong></p> <p>This wild French made rangefinder camera "FOCA", incorporates a "Quad barrel" <strong>string</strong> shutter design.<br /> (Years later Olympus OM cameras used a similar system)<br /> Even stranger is the middle "Wind the shutter speed dial" <strong>transport</strong> system. Unlike the Contax II & III, this one winds from the midddle of the camera. (Not the far right like the Contax's)</p> <p>Surprisingly, the fit and finish of these "Leica thread mount" era cop ..read more

Camera repair: are the diaphragm blades correctly installed?

Hi,  Please have a look at the attached two photos for reference. I have a newly acquired Minolta Minoltina-s rangefinder camera and I am cleaning its lens elements. While at it, I keep looking at the diaphragm and the aperture opening vs aperture ring setting; I am not sure if the blades are correctly installed (by some previous owner). The smallest f16 setting looks really small in my experience and the widest f1.8 does not seem to open up as wide as it should be.  So my question is: if the measurement for the smallest aperture available is approximately 1,4mm in diameter, and the ..read more
