A newly formed coalition is hoping to quell the influence Pennsylvania’s richest man has on state politics by urging lawmakers to pledge not to accept money from him. The so-called Pledge for a Healthy Democracy asks its signatories to commit to reject money from billionaire Jeffrey Yass and his affiliated political action committees and to resist his “privatizing and profiteering agenda” including school vouchers among others. It won’t be long now until Wawa hoagies and coffee arrive in the Harrisburg region. A groundbreaking held Wednesday in Lower Swatara Township signaled the Delaware County chain is making good on its promise to bring dozens of stores to central Pennsylvania. A Folcroft man has been arrested in the Jan. 29 shooting death of 22-year-old Terrence Murray in an alleged robbery during a marijuana buy. Rhashaun J. One of the things I remember about elementary school was that my teachers were generally as quick with a Band-Aid or a tissue as they were with an approving smile (or a disapproving glare). I remember making popsicle stick structures, crafts from construction paper and paper plates, and I never had to look far to find a pencil. PROSPECT PARK — Interboro students celebrated Friday night, April 12 at the High School’s annual Bucs-a-Thon event, after surpassing their goal of $20,000 and raising a whopping $28,564 for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
