Looking for something cheap and new to open (this obviously is one of those older unfinished posts), I chose 2022 Topps Heritage minor league. It was $59.00 and had 2 on-card autos which was nice.
Unfortunately, I have not kept up with who the latest and greatest prospects are. So it's going to be an entire box of "I have no idea who this is".
There are 18 packs with 8 cards in each pack. The player on the box and pack wrappers is Marcelo Mayer, a first round pick for the Red Sox in 2021.
The three cards you see below the box are from the "box loader". I have no idea who any of these pl ..read more

As I mentioned in my last post, I haven't purchased any current cards since Topps Series 1 from 2022. However, as long as I can find cheap boxes of "commons" at my LCS (a 1500 count box for about 10 bucks), it doesn't really matter. Here's the latest box.
2002 - 03 Topps Finest Basketball - 64 cards.
2017 Topps Heritage Baseball - 77 cards.
2018 Topps Heritage High Numbers Baseball - 293 cards.
2008 Upper Deck Icons Football - 34 cards.
1992 - 93 Topps Stadium Club Basketball - 58 cards.
2017 - 18 Donruss Optic Basketball - 1 card.
2019 - 20 Panini Mosaic Basketball - 7 ca ..read more

As I scan the archives of unfinished posts, here is another post featuring 2022 Topps Baseball Series 1. I bought a fair amount of this, but didn't buy much of Series 2 or Update. I haven't bought any of the 2023 products. My interest in the newer stuff has really waned because I'm not all that excited as to where Fanatics seems to be taking the hobby. I don't do breaks, I don't grade and I don't chase parallels. I build sets. Not the target market they are looking for. Am I losing interest? Absolutely not.
So here are the highlights from the blaster.

As you probably already know, I love repacks. You also probably know if you're looking for ROI, this really isn't a wise choice. In my opinion, this is one of the better ones. There are 24 packs with 14 cards in each pack. There also is (on average) 1 Autographed card and 1 Relic card. Cost is $84.99 with shipping included. Let's begin!

2022 Donruss Optic Charlie Blackmon

Another post featuring cards from 2022. I bought a box of 2022 Topps Opening Day...I can't remember what I paid for it...but here are the highlights of the base cards. According to Baseballcardpedia.com, the print run for the base cards was more than double than the 2021 edition.
The Scherzer Blue Parallel is not numbered (although they are limited to 2022 copies). The rest are from the Bomb Squad subset.
Most here are mascot cards. The last two cards are from the Opening Day subset.
First two cards are from the Opening Day subset, the las ..read more

I have a lot of half finished posts so I didn't just buy this...this is from late 2021. I can't remember how much I paid for this, I think it was somewhere around $59. It didn't have a "hit" in the box so it really shows how much you are paying for a memorabilia card you could probably find in a dollar box 6 months later.
For those of you who have read a few posts of mine, you probably know that I am a set collector. I do spend a lot of time reading the "forums" and it seems that I am a dying breed.
So here are the highlights of the base cards. "Worthless trash" I've heard them ref ..read more
