Crendon Fastrack Honda has a fresh MX1 squad for 2023 after signing Conrad Mewse and Josh Gilbert. Triple British MX2 champion Mewse will join Dave Thorpe’s squad as he makes a full-time step up to the MX1 class. It’s the first time the 23-year-old will race a Japanese motorcycle after contesting the MX2 world championship on European bikes since 2016. Tommy Searle clinched the 2022 Revo ACU British Motocross crown with another podium finish in the series finale at Landrake in Cornwall, marking back-to-back MX1 titles for the Crendon Fastrack Honda team.   The 33-year-old took the holeshot in both motos and led on the opening laps, but wisely avoided risking the title by going all-out for race wins. Reigning MXGP champ Tim Gajser has signed a multi-year contract to remain with Honda in the blue riband class. Gajser bagged his fourth MXGP title a couple of weeks ago which made him a five-time world champion. “It was an easy decision to continue this amazing relationship with Team HRC. MXGP bosses have this morning revealed the provisional 2023 calendar. It is is set to kick off on the 12th of March at the MXGP of Patagonia Argentina in the stunning Villa la Angostura, followed by two events in locations to be confirmed on the 26th of March and then 8th and 10th of April. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle secure his second title in the MX2 class after a hard-fought battle with Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s Jago Geerts.
