Tips for getting your teen to listen: Let them come to you. It's hard not to always be trying to help your kids, but at some point they need to learn to solve their own problems. When they need your help, they will come. When they come to you, they are  more likely to listen to what you need to say. Practice active listening.  Be engaged.
