The 2022 Harvest Party was a huge success, thank you all for attending and contributing!!
With the funds raised we can purchase lumber in the Spring and will have some left over for another project. If you have any suggestions for a project within the garden, please email the Garden Manager and we can discuss it before the first work day of the 2023 Season.

Howdy again, Gardeners–
A gardener rightly pointed out in a posting a few hours ago that the glean team is not supposed to glean without posting the date one week ahead of time. We forgot about that promised timeframe during this crazy-busy harvest-party week; so sorry about that.

Hi Everyone, as per our FPCG 2022 Agreement, Gleaning will take place this weekend. Should you not wish your plot to be gleaned, please immediately inform the garden manager.
GLEANING: When frost is expected at the end of growing season, the garden manager will alert you to harvest all tender produce. With a week’s notice, and the gleaning date announced, tender crops may be collected from plots and donated. Hardy produce and flowers will not be gleaned ..read more

Hello Gardeners, tonight we celebrate the Garden at the Harvest Party with live music (the KC Moaners jug band), unique raffle items, cash bar and a Pot Luck buffet. I hope everyone can stop by to support this fundraiser at the Portuguese Social Club on Sheldon Street, Providence, starting at 5:30 – 8:00.

Dear Gardeners,
We are hoping that the weather will permit us to have the Annual Harvest Party Fun Raiser and Raffle tomorrow afternoon October 2@ 3 pm at the garden.
It is normally an improvised event and your support is welcomed. If you have a pop up tent you can share we will use it.
Scattered showers are possible.

Dear FPCG Members, it is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Board member Scott Moran, our Compost Captain. Scott’s professional knowledge of plant husbandry and his generosity in sharing it helped our gardeners succeed. We will miss him greatly and remember him with gratitude.

We now have 4 watering cans with no sprinkler heads. Jeffrey did a cursory search but could not find any.
If you know where they are please install them on the watering can. Besides, gardeners need to replace the heads after removing them.
