Hello guys, I got myself a LH6 with 360k km +. Cleaned the piston tops a bit until I found this on #4 cylinder, this piston has been punched many times by a small piece of metal, unfortunately the edge of the piston got deformed from that said small piece of metal and created some scratch marks that you can feel a bit with fingernails. Here are a few questions: does the cylinder wall need to be bored out or not? If boring is not required, can this piston be salvaged? Are these OEM pistons? So I'm getting ready to add a motor the the fc rx7 shell I bought and I found three aisin ar5s at my local yard. I have a track dedicated 2004 STI that is RWD converted and being used as a drift car. When the motor eventually goes, I am thinking about an LS swap, so I’m trying to do as much research as I can before that happens. I think swapping an LS into this chassis would be a better option( maybe around the same price) than buying a built Subaru block just for it to happen again. I haven’t seen too much information on doing this LS Swap, I have only seen pictures of completed builds. Any help on who has a good LS channel?
