Hello, I'm new here. I'm trying to determine how to tell the difference between an ICM from a 93 LT1 from a Camaro and an ICM from a 94 Camaro. My father put an LT-1 in his street rod from either a 93 or 94 Camaro and the ICM is bad(dies when it gets warm). He suddenly passed away last week, and now I can't ask him what year Camaro that the engine came from. The catalytic converter in my 1993 formula Firebird with the LT engine has collapsed. What is the general consensus of removing the catalytic converter and installing a straight pipe in its place? I’ve heard other people say this is not a good idea because the catalytic converter and exhaust system creates back pressure, which protects the exhaust valves in the engine. Hi guys, I'm in the process of swapping LT1/T56 in mu 3rd gen GTA, so I have one problem. I took complete engine and body harness from 1993 LT1 Camaro and put in my GTA, engine crank but won't start. I saw that problem is that I had no spark from coil. After that I saw that there is no 12V on ICM terminals A and D (pink wire). Coil fuse #11 is OK. There are no codes on ALDL, just code 12 says that "everything is OK" What else should I try? Thanks a lot. Best regards ..read more

Okay, I've bought 3 different key fobs to my 97 firebird each from different sellers claiming that theirs are made specifically for the 97 trans am. I take the radio fuse out, cycle the ignition, hold the buttons. But it doesn't work. I've tried my user manual, I've looked up videos. So my steering wheel in my 97 trans am is sloppy I just changed my rack and pinion last year. I read it's probably my rag joint I've heard the best way tonget my steering nice and go where I want it to lol is to do an ls1 swap of the steering shaft? Is this true the best way or just replace rag joint? Also when doing the ls1 shaft change do I also need to upgrade to an ls1 rack and pinion and there's no modding need to be done.
