Another year is passing by! I must say, 2023 has been such a busy year but a very important one! This year, I decided to leave my full time work I was doing to focus 100% of my time and energy into GHOST GIRL GOODS! I think doing that was the one key event that made this year flow the way it did. (It was the canon event shall I say~!) GHOST GiRL GOODS hosted 3 community events and attended 8 conventions!! To top it off, we had our very 1st pop-up shop and solo gallery in Japan!! I've written many blog posts on our events and events I have attended also. I did not write that many kawaii intervi ..read more

(I was) reporting LIVE from Harajuku. Now I'm reporting live with my findings from GHOST GIRL HQ! Takeshita street is always evolving and changing with time. Most of the time, you will discover what the current trends are by walking down this street. But these trends are mainly the fast fashion or social media trends. Before covid hit, there were SO MANY bubble tea shops that opened within the Harajuku area. I'd like to say that, when I visited in 2019, there were definitely more than 10 bubble tea shops that opened scattered around Harajuku. Now, lets take a look and see what we find on Takes ..read more

I am always pleasantly surprised by different pop-ups, collaborations, or interesting things I didn't know about before arriving on my travels! It's the beauty of the adventures, like finding treasure without a map! Luckily, I always seem to find out or hear about cool things whenever I am in Japan! Here are a few surprises from my trip. Sebastian Masuda x TsumTsum Collaboration The collaboration Sebastian Masuda did with Tsum Tsum was one thing I did know about, so I had to head to the Disney Store location to see it with my own eyes! Sebastian posted about this collaboration on his twitter a ..read more

I've been reporting on my Japan adventures and still have a bunch to finish up and post. But I returned back to Canada just in time for a cool collaboration by CoCo Tea Ontario! They have not done any sort of themed collaboration that I know of in the past. Most recently, they had a promo called "CoCo Day All-Star Showdown", where they created basket ball playing anime boys themed after the drinks in which you could vote for your favourite every week for a period of time! The artwork was only used for social media promos and posters. In this case, CoCo teamed up with Diablo IV to offer bubble ..read more

I was able to attend the Halloween Harajuku walk during my travels in Japan. This is the 4th Harajuku walk in Japan that I've attended! This walk was hosted by a newly formed group group of 3 called Harajuku Fashion Day Harajuku. They post events on Instagram, so you can check them out there to find out when their next event will be if you're heading to Harajuku! The theme for this walk was Halloween, of course, as it was happening very close to Halloween! Here is a group shot that I snapped before we started our walk! I did not stay too long, since I had been working at 6%DOKIDOKI earlier th ..read more

On January 31st 2021, the KAWAII MONSTER CAFE permanently closed down their location in Harajuku. Since then, there have been various pop-up events and cafes. I was so sad to hear when it closed, but had hoped that I could still see their projects once again whenever I would return to Japan. If you never had a chance to go to the KAWAII MONSTER CAFE, you can check out my previous blog posts that highlight and show photos from it: Kawaii Monster Cafe Halloween Party 2018 Hello Kitty x Kawaii Monster Cafe Collaboration 2019 I got very lucky with the timing this year, as KAWAII MONSTER CAFE plan ..read more

Themes cafes are all over the place here in Japan. Every month, they have a bunch of different kinds to select. During this trip in October, I was able to secure some spots at various cafes! Here's the full report on the first few: ALICE WANDERED INTO 2D COMIC BOOK WORLD (Official promo image for the buffet. See the official buffet promo page here.) Alice in Wonderland Sweets Buffet at the Hilton Tokyo was a very luxurious buffet with many sweet treat options, 3 chocolate fountains, and delicious savory foods to help balance all the sugar. Finally, I have returned to Japan after 3 years! I'm so excited to be back and report on many cool things I see here, so I hope you'll look forward to it to! I am always looking for themed cafes and, as I wasn't able to get into a lot of them, I was able to make a reservation at the Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe in Harajuku! (I still need to catch up on watching Jujutsu Kaisen, but the 1st ending song was a BANGER! Haha!) This cafe was located right along Takeshita Dori in BOX cafe&space Harajuku Alta store, so it was convenient to go to during my day of exploring Harajuku. There menu consisted of ..read more

It's time for a story! I used to travel to Orlando, Florida with my family every year (specifically to go to Disney World and Universal Studios) From when I was a baby to about 2018, so over 20 years of Disney vacations! It was my dad's favourite place to go, so he always worked late and long shifts to ensure that we would have 1 Disney trip minimum each year. Sometimes we got lucky and would be able to go twice! We used to drive and take a road trip there, but my dad wuld usually be very excited and would drive straight there. The drive was about 21/22 hours long.....so you could imagine we ..read more
