This recipe does not definitely originate in Poland. But… is delicious. I tried these tacos for the first time just few weeks ago and since the it became one of my fav recipes. And believe it or not, really easy and quick. All you need is some ingredients and a little work.
SERVES: 2
PREP TIME:
NEED: wok
INGREDIENTS:
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp canola oil
pinch of crushed chili flakes
2 garlic gloves, minced
1 tbsp of ginger, chopped/minced
100g (4oz) beef, sliced super thin

Bigos is definitely one of the most traditional Polish meals. It is a single pot dish, made with sauerkraut and chopped meats as main ingredients, usually prepared during winter months. Some families – like mine – have adopted this dish to be a very traditional Christmas meal because bigos in Poland is served on special occasions. Prep time:
20min
Ingredients for 2 people:
-1 small onion, 30g, cut in squares
-1 garlic clove, sliced
-1/2 small red bell pepper, 50g, cut in squares
-half grilled corn, cut with knife from cob
-4 eggs
-1/4 tsp of: cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, pepper
-Vegetable oil (for frying)
Recipe
1. Heat oil and add onion, garlic and bell pepper – saute for few minutes on medium heat.
2. Add spices, salt, pepper – cook for 1 min
3. Add corn and saute together for another minute.
4. Make 4 wells and pouch eggs into each.
5. Cook covered for another 5-8 minutes (until eggs are ready)

One of my favourite in the summer time when in season.
SERVES: 2
PREP TIME: 20 min
NEED: 1 l pot, 1 frying pan
INGREDIENTS:
300g (0.6 lb) wax beans, cut stem on one side
1 small onion, cut in small pieces/feathers
1-2 garlic cloves, cut in slices
2 tbsp of oats
3 tbsp of vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt + some to sprinke
RECIPE:
Place wax beans in a pot, cover with water, add 1/2 tsp salt, bring to boil and simmer on low/medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until al dente.

This is a healthy and nutritrious idea for a side dish. Give it a try !
SERVES: 2
PREP TIME: 20 min
NEED: frying pan
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup (100g or 1/4 lb) Pearl Barley, cooked according to directions
4 inch (10 cm) leek, sliced
5 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp olive oil
salt
RECIPE:
Heat up olive oil in a pan, medium heat.
Add pumpkin seeds and leek, simmer for 5 min
Add pearl barley, season with pinch of salt (to your taste), stir on medium heat for another 5 minutes
Serve hot or cold.

This is quick recipe for lunch or light dinner. Pesto is not a traditional paste in Poland, but it is very popular and healty. Turkey has recently replaced chicken for its less additives and hormones – it id definietely more healthy.
This meal is an idea for you. Pesto – unfortunatelly is not home made – but it is good quality Italian jar I get in a local store. Small potatoes are best choice to pair with turkey, but you can as well go with nother side e.g. rice.
