So, I went out this am for Muzzleloader carrying all my reloading accessories in my pocket, as always.  I didnt see anything ( unfortunately), but in case I had and actually took a shot, I felt very unprepared for a follow up shot due to the location of my reload accessories. On my home, I bought kind of like a Fanny pack for the reload canister, my bullets, primers and white hots, plus the ramrod endpiece; maybe this'll work for me , but now, Im carrying an additional pack , too. Where and how do you carry all of your accessories for Muzzle while in the woods ..read more

I couldnt be too much happier with the forecast for next week end...temperatures dropping nicely, some rain....I still look forward to deer season opener like a kid waiting for Christmas!  I hope to take a deer with one of my flintlocks this year, but if the days are too drizzly, will likely stay with my tried and tested Lyman Great Plains Rifle percussion....but it almost feels like cheating! So I have been putting together a pistol for Rimfire Challenge matches and picked up a See All non battery optic to mount on my Browning Buckmark. These little sights are marketed as 20 first century alternatives to regular open sights which with my old eyes have a bit of trouble with these days. Mounted up the sight and while it works just fine I found I can not acquire my sight picture quick enough to suit me for this Rimfire Challenge type shooting which is all about speed.
