In this episode we admit some BIG ones: We judge you. We judge culture. Most of all, we judge ourselves.
And we can't lie...it hurts sometimes!
Can we have compassion for other people if we don't have it for ourselves? How do we get it for ourselves if there are things inside us we cannot accept or do not even dare to face?
All this and much more, including some art we feel is inextricably linked to this episode's topic, and some that's informing the art we hope to create ourselves.

where is home? what is home? who is home?
is home the apartment or house we create for ourselves or with loved ones? is it our bodies? is it not a physical space but a felt sense of belonging and being loved for who we truly are?
in this episode we explore what the concept of 'home' has, does, and might mean to us.

one of us wanted to name this episode "we admitted: we became our worst nightmare". so that's where we start. where we end up is a bit more tender, personal, and unexpected for each of us.
this is a conversation about opening to the unexpected desires we find when we dig deep, and accepting that the only thing we can really rely upon in this life is that it, and we, will change.

In our debut episode we introduce ourselves; we share how we came together and describe the space we each hope to create through this podcast. We touch on sobriety, what it’s taken to be able to call ourselves writers, and the self-limiting narratives we sometimes rehash when we’re trying to do hard things. In what art’s inspiring us now, we discuss the surprisingly heartfelt Apple series Ted Lasso and the vision-expanding podcast, Ologies, with Alie Ward.
