We are receiving a number of questions from our clients in Williamson and Travis County, Texas regarding how the federal stimulus payment with affect child support payments. Here are answers from the Texas Attorney General. Will the federal stimulus rebate payments be subject to the Federal Tax Refund Offset program? Yes. Federal law requires child support agencies to have procedures to collect past due child support from federal tax refunds.
