*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies  I can’t believe we are half way through March already! When we opened the Hastings shop in February I knew it would take a few weeks to gauge what and how we would structure the rest of the year. The cyclone has certainly changed a lot of my original plans, but the path is now getting much clearer as we head towards Easter and Term 2 when I will introduce more classes. In this email I will outline classes going forward for the rest of this year. These are always subject to change, but the ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies Warmest greetings to you all from sunny but soggy Hastings today. It has been quite a week for so many of our friends and family, and our heartfelt love goes out to so many of our locals who have lost everything after Cyclone Gabrielle hit our region last week. I almost feel guilty that we have come out relatively unscathed at this point; our home and shop are both high and dry and for this we are so grateful. Going without power for (only) one day was a mixed blessing and I have been able to c ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies! Greetings from Hastings and Happy New Year to you all! Well what a month or two it has been! We managed to get a few lovely sunny days between Christmas and New Year and I must say the cooler weather since has been brilliant for unpacking a shop over January. We are so thankful to have had a storage unit right over the back fence, so we’ve been able to slowly move boxes from there to the shop. The storage unit is now empty and the keys have been handed back to a new customer. Last Wednesday 1s ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies I’ve made the most of being in isolation with Covid to put together what will most likely be the last email from our Taupo location. I’m thankful for a bit of breathing space to sort out some admin at home without interruption as I know once I return to the shop it’s just going to get busier! So its just a short email today with some key dates and information for you:   SEWING MACHINE SERVICING  We take over the new premises in Hastings on Thursday 1st December. David has already take ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies I am getting in early this month to tell you about a few changes at the Eye Of A Needle. From time to time it’s important to reassess what is selling well and where we could do better, so this month we are looking at a few items that we need to move on. Life in retail always has its challenges, and with that come some necessary changes to stock supplies that we will carry in the future. I know what sells well in our store, and I also know what doesn’t move so quickly! In light of this, we will ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies! I always aim to get the newsletter out at the beginning of each month – well this month has only one week left in it, so I’m a bit behind this round – even if  there are only 28 days in February. All our term classes have now started, and we have good numbers in all of them – there are still a couple of spots in the Wednesday and Thursday afternoon classes; if you would like to sign up on a weekly basis rather than for the whole term, while we have gaps it’s ok with me to do it that way ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Hello Lovely Ladies! This will be the last email newsletter for 2021 – what an interesting year we have had! With the imminent break out of Aucklanders next week, we expect things could get quite busy, so I thought I had better get cracking with this last newsletter, while there is still a bit of time! As we move to the new Covid Protection Framework (Traffic Light System) at the Red Setting in Taupo, we will continue to trade as we have been at Level 2. At this stage we do NOT need to see your vaccine pass. Howev ..read more

*|MC:SUBJECT|* *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* Greetings Lovely Ladies! The weeks are flying by, and since we made the announcement that we are relocating The Eye Of A Needle to Hastings at the end of this year, the pace has certainly sped up a bit. We are in full sale mode, and customers are already commenting that the shop is starting to look empty! There are some great bargains on Fat Quarters, Long Quarters, and fabric by the metre. I still have some fabric arriving that was ordered before we knew we were moving. This will NOT be in the sale, but will be l ..read more
