Just in time for the summer travel season (now that we’re allowed to travel again…) we’re excited to announce that Mom’s Homemade style salsas are now available at Bullock’s Your Independent Grocer in Huntsville and at Cooke’s Fine Foods in Kingston. The addition of Bullock’s YIG in the heart of Ontario’s cottage country means Mom’s is now available in two stores in cottage country — we’ve been available at Algonquin Fine Foods in Magnetawan (outside Burks Falls) for the past two years. There are few better combinations than beer and salsa … and now you can find Mom’s Homemade style salsas at another great Ottawa craft brewer, Kichesippi Beer Co. on Robertson Road in Bells Corners! Kichesippi becomes the second Ottawa craft brewer to stock Mom’s among the wonderful sauces, snacks and treats which are also available on its shop shelves. We’ve hit a couple of milestones in recent weeks … topping 40 vendors and breaking into our third province with the addition of Kroeker Farms in Winkler, Man. to our retail network. And we couldn’t be more excited. The folks at Kroeker had been searching for a wholesome, flavourful salsa for the shelves of their farm market for some time. Well, this is exciting. After weeks of planning, preparation and development work by we’re delighted to unveil the new website for Mom’s Homemade! It’s more visual and dynamic, and will be able to grow with us into the future as we expand Mom’s and require new features to support our salsas and our retailers. ALERT for lovers of the Mom’s Wrath Scary Hot Salsa blend, you might wanna stock up … we’re running low on supplies. Sadly, we likely won’t be able to make more before spring/summer when we can once again access Carolina Reaper peppers. As of today (Feb. 17) all of our retail outlets which normally carry the blend still have jars in stock, but we’re not sure how much longer that will be the case. We’ve got lots of Mild, Medium and Hot salsa, but the issue is that we need those incredibly hot Carolina Reapers to make our Wrath blend.
