We are hosting Thanksgiving this year so I am working on a little outdoor decor to welcome my guests. Let’s take a look at my Easy Foraged Outdoor Fall Decor You Will Love. All you need are pumpkins and fall leaves. We are lucky to have this wonderful outdoor courtyard space in our new home. We enjoyed it all summer long. We just ate our first meal in the house last weekend.
If you are lucky enough to have an outdoor fireplace as we do. You can decorate it naturally and simply with foraged materials. You might enjoy seeing my original plan in the post My New Courtyard Design and Sources here ..read more

Happy Tuesday. My blogging schedule has been a bit off of late due to commitments, so thank you for bearing with me. Today I am sharing my home decorated for Fall. Let’s talk about How to Decorate for Fall with Natural Elements.
Let’s begin at the front door. I love the entrance to our front door. This door opens to the courtyard which I shared in this post How to Create an Outdoor Space that Guests will never want to Leave.
If you follow me on Instagram you know of the great pots I found at Loew’s for $60+. They struggled a bit in the heat. I think next year I will fill them with succulents ..read more

I am not a huge fan of Holiday specific decor. I prefer creating or purchasing items that can be used for multiple seasons. Let’s talk about How to Transition Fall Wreaths to Christmas.
Think of your wreaths like you do your wardrobe (ie CPW cost per wear). It is silly to spend a fortune on a wreath (or any other decor) that you will use once and toss. I have rounded up some wreaths in all price ranges that can be “retrofitted” so that they can be used through the Christmas holidays. Let’s talk about How to Transition Fall Wreaths to Christmas.
This mussel shell wreath from Etsy is a little pr ..read more

Are you dreaming about decorating for fall and how to decorate your mantel? Or, are you holding on to Summer? I have a party planned on the 22nd so I am trying to get with it. Here are some of my favorite Simple Ways to Add Fall to Your Mantel from the past.
My advice is to try and use things you already own in new ways. Add some organics and call it good.
This was our “fall mantel” at the Salinas house. I used the old tool and dye panels that I found at Roundtop, old lawn bowling or exercise pins (also from roundtop), a basket from a favorite consignment shop that I miss dearly, a portrait we ..read more

You don’t need to be a floral designer or have any knowledge of floral arranging to create pretty arrangements with fall leaves. Let’s walk through together How to Make Effortless Beautiful Arrangements with Fall Leaves.
We have a lot of beautiful trees on our property thanks to the former owners.
Select a vessel that suits the size and shape of the leaf. Have a squirt bottle filled with water on hand, clippers, and chlorox. Put a few drops of chlorox in your container before filling with water. This will keep the bacteria level down and make the leaves last longer. Squirt the leaves with wate ..read more

Next week Mary Ann, Annie, and I are joining a great group of bloggers for a fall tablescape and favorite thanksgiving dish. I thought if you are looking for inspiration in the meantime I would share some of my favorite fall tablescapes from the past. Let’s take a look at Seven Fall Tablescapes Your Guests will Love.
My absolute favorite time to decorate is Fall. Before Covid, when we lived in our former home Thanksgiving was a big event. We would entertain between 20-25 people and enjoy every minute of it. I prefer decorating my table with a mixture of natural elements (flowers, gathered gree ..read more

Hi All. I have been on the hunt for a great fall/winter candle that can span the entire season. Scent is very personal. I lean toward a citrusy, fresh-smelling candle year-round, but would like an earthier, woodsy type that will last through the winter. I am not looking for something that smells like pumpkin or is overtly Christmas. I know it’s a challenge. Do you have a signature scent that you like, or do you need a little help in that department? Let’s take a look at My Favorite Fall Candles and How to find your signature scent.

Happy Thursday Everyone. Today I am joining Annie, and Mary Ann and a great group of home decor bloggers for our fall cozy home tour. Come join me for my Natural Collected Fall Home Tour.
There is no need to go out and purchase a bunch of decor that is holiday specific. Try and repurpose what you have. Try to look at your existing decor with a new eye. We have a lot of antique and vintage items. They can be easily repurposed and reused for a unique “new” look. I added a few new pillow covers, some sunflowers, refreshed an old wreath with new moss, and purchased pumpkins ..read more
