I am eyeing to book a flight on Greater Bay Airlines. I am more familiar with Cathay but I am looking to save some money for my trip. Any experience on Greater Bay Airlines?

I picked up a reasonable fare to HKG in September and have 18 days between arriving and departing.
Currently I am thinking of spending the first 8 days in HKG (have a hotel booking on points) and then taking a side trip - not sure where to - I've been to Japan and Singapore before, and like both.
Current plan would be to return to HKG a day or so before I was due to fly home.
Would I be better doing the side trip at the beginning of the trip, spending maybe 48hrs in HKG on arrival, doing the side trip and then returning to HKG for the last 8 days of the holiday?
Any recommendations for places ..read more

I will be arriving at HKG at about 18:30 (6:30 pm) with a US passport. I’d like to make plans for later that evening so I’m wondering what kind of wait I should anticipate at Passport Control.
Thanks for any information ..read more

Hi all,
It has been a long time since I flew out of HKG. Has anyone flown out recently? We're flying at 11am on a weekday on an EVA flight to Taipei. Would be great to hear how long security/passport control for departures takes. Thanks to everyone for their advice ..read more

I'll be back in HK later this afternoon. I'll be at the hotel until about 7:30 PM. I hesitate to make the effort to go to IFC since the stores begin closing at around 9 PM. I think IFC officially closes at 10 PM.
Any good malls out there that closes late?

I was in HK earlier this year and I went to a MTR station to check which of my two Octopus cards are still usable after being away for four years. One expired and the station attendant told me there was a charge (forgot, but HK$30) to get the funds back. I declined because I want to know if there is a way to get it back without paying any fee. Apparently, COVID isn't a good excuse ..read more

I have several days in Hong Kong, and I am thinking I could do a day trip (or even spend a night) in Shenzhen and then back.
Would you have any tips or recommendations? Is it worth it?
As per the latest info I have, it seems I do not need a Visa (I have a EU passport) but no idea if this is true or the border crossing is an issue if not planned in advanced
Happy to get your thoughts ..read more

This might seem like an odd question but would appreciate any advice. I'll be 1 night at the HKG airport hotel and want to
take the AirportExpress into the city for dinner. I really want to try "Mak's noodle" I hear its very good. Anyone know
if there is an outlet near/close to one of the AirportExpress stops, I believe they make 2 stops. Ideally it would be close by. I
checked online but have no idea where the addresses are. Thanks ..read more
