I have always been a sucker for Valentine’s Day, but something about having kids makes it all the more loving and exciting! Creating special memories with my babies is so rewarding as a parent and I love seeing their sweet faces light up when my husband and I decorate and give them gifts. Another year and another pumpkin brunch! This year we had 16 kids and I must say a very successful Plaid Pumpkin Brunch! If you are new to following my journey, I started a tradition when we lived in NYC where everyone wore plaid and brought their favorite pumpkin food to brunch. Designing a neutral nursery that can add pops of pink or blue can be a challenge, but I did it once for my daughter’s room and loved how it turned out, so I decided to take the same route for baby number two! I fell in love with the idea of cars, which I know comes off more of a boy’s theme then a girl’s theme, but I found some really fun ways to make it girly as well. Everyone always told me with my first pregnancy do not worry you will get your energy back in the second trimester. Well, that was true during my first pregnancy, I worked out everyday on my peloton, I finally had my appetite back and I was pretty much back to myself just with a growing belly. When you have your second baby it is still fun to have a little baby shower, but it is known as a sprinkle! My mom and sister sprinkled me with one of my favorites…..FONDUE! Who doesn’t love a little mix of cheese and chocolate. We decided to go all out with the sprinkle theme because I do not know the sex of the baby since I am going surprised. Ever since my husband and I officially moved out of Manhattan last year when we had our daughter, we have been trying to go back up to our condo to visit and show her where we lived for almost seven years!
