Disney’s Silhouette Studio
During our recent Disneyland adventure, my family had the pleasure of discovering one of the park’s most treasured gems: Disneyland’s Silhouette Studio. This enchanting experience not only captured our profiles but also immersed us in a piece of Disney history.
The Silhouette Studio opened the day after Disneyland’s grand opening in 1955. It is a cherished attraction that connects us to a bygone era. Silhouettes, an art form that gained immense popularity in the 18th century, reached their peak in the 19th century. These delicate black-and-white profiles skill ..read more

We recently embarked on a unique family adventure, taking the kids up to Henry Coe State Park to witness a fascinating natural phenomenon—tarantula mating season. Yes, tarantulas—the big, hairy spiders that often feature in our nightmares. Now, I have to begin this tale by admitting something upfront: I am absolutely terrified of spiders. My fear runs deep. So, why on earth would we intentionally seek out these eight-legged creatures?

I love creating new decor with items that we already have sitting around the house. This essential oil cauldron is the culmination of just that. It also gets an extra bonus point for usability, making the room smell great.

We already run our diffuser almost daily, so why not turn it into something a little more spooky for Halloween? We go all-out for Halloween decorating both the inside and outside of the house. I originally used our small cauldron as a candy holder, but I feel it serves its purpose better as an es ..read more

Last Halloween, we built a Haunted Halloween Tunnel using the supplies we usually use for our Holiday Arches. It ended up being such a hit that we decided to make it again this year.
We build our Halloween tunnel almost exactly as we build the Holiday Arches. After all, they are constructed with the same tubes and connectors… just decorated for a different season. There is, however, one big difference: we attach a projector screen to one side of the tunnel for Halloween night. We use our projector to show spooky videos that can be seen inside ..read more
