Embracer Group, the Swedish conglomerate which has been making news over the last few years for gobbling up studios and franchises and then promptly shutting down or selling them for a massive loss, is splitting itself up. The company has announced that it will be dividing itself into three separate entities. One of these entities will be dedicated to the Middle-Earth franchise, to which it acquired the rights back in 2022. 7 Days to Die, the online zombie survival game which has been in Early Access since December 2013, is finally leaving that state and entering a full release. Those who own the Early Access version will receive the 1.0 release version as a free update, at least on PC. In January of this year, popular creative puzzle-platformer LittleBigPlanet 3’s servers were shut down following technical difficulties. Now, Sony has announced via its website that the server will be offline indefinitely, with no indication if attempts to fix the server will be ongoing in the meantime. Any user-generated content stored on local devices will still be accessible, but the same cannot be said for millions of custom levels and outfits uploaded to the game’s servers. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 may have cast the film’s antagonist, Shadow the Hedgehog. According to several of its sources, The Hollywood Reporter has reported that John Wick and Cyberpunk 2077 star Keanu Reeves will join the cast as the voice of Shadow the Hedgehog.
