I love it I love it I love it! Okay, so I researched EV's and drove the ones I really liked. This was the EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 6, and Nissa Ariya. All were really great (really liked Ariya more than I thought I would), but the EV6 came out on top. I skipped driving a Tesla because after riding in one, I can't get past no gauges in front of you, plus no moon roof (model 3). The Mustang Mach E has a computer monitor velcroed to the middle of the dash--just could not go for it. So, like many others here this is my first EV and I'm seeing some things right away that stand out that I didn't quite expect that annoys me. First there is some necessary equipment being a first-time EV owner and want to be able to charge at home: $285 - Tesla Mobile Connector + 5-20P Adapter - Comes with 14-50P and 5-15P, added the 5-20P to round it out. I have an existing 14-50R outside my house that my father-in-law wired in for their RV, and I am going to charge off that outlet for now. I'm somewhat confused. It seems in US there are regular software updates for the EV6, most recent one was 11.005 dated 24 April. In EU no updates since November 2023. Current version 1.001. I'm aware US and EU EV6 have different software loaded. Does this mean there were a lot of issues with the US software which do not appear in the EU software? I could list a number of improvement points that could easily be addressed wit a software update. Does anyone know a platform where these ca be shared? I noticed over the last few days that my infotainment system fluctuates the audio level from high to low and back only when listening to the radio, after Bluetooth audio is played and then turned back to the radio. I did the software update on 5/1but this issue didn’t begin at the same time so I’m not sure what’s causing it all of a sudden. I do have a USB CarPlay device connected that I’ve had for a few months now. When it’s connected, if I open an app on my phone that uses audio, it’ll connect to that and then when I get off the app and/or lock my phone, the radio comes back on. Regard ..read more

So I am debating about buying a new Kia EV6 GT-Line, or a used one with only about 1,000 miles on it that is in great shape. It turns out that couple who owned it ended up moving, and they needed one ICE vehicle and one EV instead of the 2 EVs they had. And just to give you an idea, the price for the used EV6 is about $36,000 before even negotiating, with an out-the-door price of $37,800 (taxes, doc fee, title). The Kia service guys always jack around with our seat settings, and the seat memory buttons don't seem to fully restore the driver seat properly for some reason. I know it's a "First World Problem", but it is a waste of time for me to reconfigure the seat again to my preferred driving position.
