Hi, as my username suggests, I am quite sensitive to sound, and the VESS system drives me up a wall. I have test driven quite a few EVs at this point, and the VESS system bothers me (to say the least) on all of them. It makes no sense that some ICE vehicles are allowed to be quieter than an EV with a VESS system, but that's neither here nor there. I've had the following happen four times in the last 12 months, weather has been good, sensors clear of dirt etc. On the driver binacle an orange circle appears at the right hand side, all the driver assist systems show faulty one by one, eg LKA, Auto Regen, Front Collision etc., it cycles through each one and shows an orange fault symbol in the binacle, auto regen stops working and reverts to manual regen level settings, LKA stops working etc., after about 60 seconds all the... Strongly considering buying a 2-y-o EV6 as next car. Definitely want AWD version. I'm slightly confused about trim levels, GT-Line vs GT-Line S. As I understand it, the S adds sunroof, 360-deg camera and 20-inch wheels as standard, is that right ? What are other differences e.g. leather, heated seats/steering wheel etc ? Set off this morning and within 30 metres of home the car threw an “check electric vehicle system” warning and slowed to less than 20mph. Crawled around block progressively getting slower. Just before it stopped I turned off the HVAC (don’t know why….) which speeded us up enough to get home. At that stage the dreaded low 12v warning also came up…! Turning off/on had no effect. Quick summary: my new used EV6 won't charge from my home charger or granny charger, or DC fast chargers, but it will charge at Tesco's PodPoint AC chargers. What is the latest view on the Kia Charge App? Is it charging hidden extra fees like VAT etc, especially when charging overseas? I can see a few places where using it on their basic charging structure might look significantly cheaper than using Elli or Electroverse based on a few locations I travel to, but I am worried about the rates that I will actually experience.
