Of the 1,798 Gadsden County students who took part in the 2022-23 school year FAST, 32% met the testing standard while 2.4% exceeded expectations, according to the Florida Department of Education.
Gadsden County's proficiency level in the 2022-23 school year was 34.4%, 21.4% lower than the state's average of 55.8%.

Of the 44,233 citizens living in Gadsden County in 2021, 78.2% were old enough to vote, equating to 34,589 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.
Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 16,275 were male, constituting 47.1%, and 18,314 were female, making up 52.9%.
