Jared and I had never been to Ya Ha Tinda before but when Christine and Mark suggested it we were definitely on board, in fact exploring new places in one of my favourite parts of being a photographer. Oh man this wedding! This couple, this venue, and this dance! Is was all epic but where do we start. How about with the fact that Andi and Christian knew they wanted our biggest package from the get go (which includes an engagement session) but they already had engagement photos. Laurel and Danny got married on a beautiful fall day at the Bearspaw Golf Club. The weather was absolutely perfect. warm, sunny and all the leaves were changing; it was truly spectacular. This wedding had a ton of great moments in it but here were my favourites. Their two year old daughter coming down the aisle with a sign say “Daddy here comes Mommy” boy I was thankful for my waterproof mascara watching Danny tear up. the tears didn’t stop as he got to see his gorgeous bride. Our last wedding of the year ended the wedding season on a very high note. Monty and Laura's enjoyed a beautiful Alberta summer day to celebrate their big day. The Davisburg Community hall just south of Calgary was a terrific location for the wedding ceremony and reception complete with a beautiful outdoor space. The caragana hedges softened the summer afternoon breeze and the towering poplars did their part and provided some invited shade during the heat of the afternoon. Laura and Brett had a beautiful outdoor ceremony with close family and friends enjoying the garden party vibe at Lindsay Park in Calgary. Lindsay Park was a great spot for the ceremony and the bridal portraits with views of downtown, the river, and of course beautiful trees. Alex and Matt had originally planned their wedding for June 2021 but with covid they decided to hold out another year in hopes they would be able to have the big celebration they had planned for and they got it!
