Country Wedding Olds College, AB There are some days where the excitement is tangible, and given we had to re-schedule this wedding twice, everyone was ready for this day. Ashlee was with her bridesmaids and Grayden was with his groomsmen. The details were beautiful and Ashlee was glowing. After Ashlee was in her dress I was able to get a quick glamour shoot with her before their intimate big reveal. The Ceremony was everything I thought it would be with this fabulous crew. Flower-men and Beer-maidens set the stage for a special wedding filled with genuine moments throughout. Personal touches ..read more

Ranch Wedding Bow Valley Ranch, Calgary AB Ranch Wedding Bow Valley Ranch, Calgary AB Meeting up with Martinus and April at the incredible Bow Valley Ranch in Fish Creek Park Calgary was beautiful from start to finish. The summer heat was really just setting in and we could not have asked for a better day for a wedding. Both Martinus and April were already at the Bow Valley Ranch when I arrived and were having so much fun with their close friends. Capturing the getting ready shots and being present for the day really allowed for a complete picture of the day and made for whole story to be told ..read more

Country Wedding Redwood Meadows AB Joe and Tenaya are two easy going and fun people to be around, they make everyone around them smile. Quick to laugh and affectionate with each other the day was beautiful and so much fun from start to finish. The venue was the Redwood Meadows community centre and the pictures were at a couple choice locations Joe picked out personally. Everything about the day was personalized and important to Joe and Tanaya. Even their beloved dogs, Balder and Freya were part of the ceremony carrying the rings down isle. My day started off with the guys getting ready and end ..read more

Family Photos Canmore, AB I received a message a couple months back regarding a photography session that I had donated to a charity’s silent auction in March 2020. Helping women escape human trafficking and transition back to society is an important issue in our world and one that needs more help and focus. It had been some time, two whole years, but the pandemic really sucked and I totally understand how this fell onto the backburner. The fact that they still had my contact information and wanted to do family photos was all I needed and so we made a plan to meet in Canmore. The weather was a ..read more

Adventure Session Canmore Ab The Adventure Session may be one of the most undervalued aspects of wedding photography… Hands down. So when Winston and Jaime wanted to do an Adventure Session I was so excited to be a part of it. I love the Adventure Session because it is a special and unique way for couples to get some wow shots for the walls of their house. Remove the jitters and stress of the wedding day. Remove the scheduling and timelines. Set all of those expectations aside for a moment, get dressed up again and let’s go somewhere, just the three of us, and make it special. Doesn’t that sou ..read more

Engagement Session Edmonton Ab Engagement sessions are always special because you never really know how they are going to go. There is a lot of anticipation and excitement as we both want to know how the session will go. I felt this excitement all the way up to Edmonton where I was going to meet Lucas and Alisha at Hawrelak Park. Very quickly I could tell that Lucas and Alisha were very comfortable with each other and it took them no time to forget I was there. We started off on the bridge and worked our way across the North Saskatchewan River to get some shots in the park. As the session cont ..read more

Father’s Day Photos Calgary AB What I love about family sessions is customizing them to the family and making them personal and special. So when Ashley called me and asked for a special birthday/father’s present for her dad who races cars in his retirement I was ALL IN! We met at Fish Creek Park in South Calgary for an incredible photo session. The day was perfect! We had a window of sunlight in between two storm cells to get this done. My biggest fear was hail showing up before we could finish this session, but by God’s grace it never happened. We had so much fun and I could not wait to deliv ..read more

Calgary Wedding Calgary AB The day arrived and the excitement was palpable. I had met Rachel and Andrew just over 2 years before their wedding day and it was, at the time, the furthest out booking I had made yet… I even had nerves. Would we get along as well as we did at the café when we met to discuss their wedding details and whether I would be a fit for them as their photographer? Covid came and went in between when they booked me to when their wedding day happened!! That’s crazy. The world had changed but their love for each other had not. Stepping into the room at the Carriage House Inn I ..read more

Newborn Session Calgary Ab Newborn sessions are always fun and special. The home environment is great so that everyone is comfortable and feeling like themselves. Starting off on the bed and getting some formal shots while everyone’s attention span is high is a great way to start. Finding locations next to big windows is always a good idea so that the room can be filled with natural light. From there we allowed the siblings to interact and everyone had time together which allows for variety and natural emotions. The key aspect is to be patient and not rush things. Toddlers will be toddlers and ..read more

Spring Wedding Edmonton AB Meeting Billie, her friends and family for her wedding was a lot of fun. Easy going and quick to laugh, I knew right away that it was going to be a great day. Getting ready at their new home there was a lot of excitement and activity with everyone getting ready. Billie looked stunning in her dress and held back tears as her boys came in to see her. The limo brought everyone to The Mirage where Scott was ready and waiting with his friends. Both Scott and Billie were walked down the aisle by their children for a sweet and heartfelt ceremony. The decorations were amazin ..read more
